In January I almost missed Studio Flergs CT call, but discovered it just in time to throw in my application. Studio Flergs CT has been on my wish list for a long time, but I didn't have too high expectations. I have had my share of rejections. My surprise was huge when I was offered a spot on her team. Sometimes dreams come true!

We finally got some snow, not that I fancy any snow after Christmas. I decided to scrap some Christmas photo's. Flergs collab "Glorious" with Eva Kipler was the perfect kit for my photo.

An early Happy New Year to everyone! The end of 2011 is almost here and I'm excited to see what the new year will bring! The second part of 2011 turned out to become a busy and stressful time and I certainly expect something better for 2012. I owe that to my family and myself. In 2012 I hope to do more scrapping, I wish to improve my photographing skills and I want to travel more.

Christmas is just around the corner and I am still so behind with everything. Today the girls made Christmas cookies. I will make some later this evening. This year I decided to drop the Christmas cards, but changed my mind in the last minute and ordered the cards last weekend. I got the cards yesterday so I am busy addressing them hoping to get them in the mail tomorrow. We are slowly getting there.

The new year is not far away and if I am going to make a promise this year it will be to stress down. 2011 has been an incredible stressful year for me and my family as well with me commuting after the Summer. We all need to stress down.

This week we have had some heavy weather around here. First we got some snow followed by rain and finally we got a thunderstorm. The snow is all gone now. The storm and rain swept everything away, except for the ice. Christmas is 2 weeks away, we can still get a white Christmas. I am hoping for snow the night before Christmas Eve.

Today I have done some shopping for Christmas. Not as much as I hoped for, but I am done with some of the Christmas presents. So much to do before Christmas and so little time to do it. Next week I will be away and when I get back there is only one week left before Christmas. I am not sure how I am going to get everything ready for Christmas this year, but I guess things will work out. They alwasy do. I might skip the Christmas cards this year. If so, It will be the first time since the girls were born.

Today it is Advent Sunday and I am so not prepared for it. We have been away this weekend. The annual Christmas party with my husbands colleagues. The party took place at a hotel this time. Great hotel, fabulous food and wonderful people. If I wasn't commuting every second week, I would probably have enjoyed it more. But I have been working a lot lately and felt really tired. All I really wanted to do was to spend the weekend at home doing nothing. I feel a bit ungrateful because I didn't enjoy the weekend as much as I could have done if I had been on top of things. Which I am not. With Christmas only four weeks away, I feel a bit stressed. I am just not prepared for Christmas at all. It's about time I start the preparations. I am so late this year and I have so little time because I am still commuting. Actually that leaves me with only two weeks to get everything ready. Now I feel even more stressed. I will go and look for some advent candelabras and Christmas angels to decorate the house...

This weekend Lina realeased a fantasitc new kit "Sweet November". She is guesting at The DigiChick this month. I scrapped a page about one of my angels with it, and I love the result.

We are in the middle of November, but so far we have seen few signs of Winter around here. One morning my car was frozen that is all. Actually we have had temperatures between 10 and 15 degrees, pretty much the same as during this summer. I love this time of the year when the stores are filled up with gorgeous winter and Christmas kits. They are my favourite kits. During Jady Day Studio's Fall Retirement Sale I got my hands on a couple of Yari's older goodies, including a winter kit. Althought the winter is on hold, I can always create winter pages.

Often I see these fabulous photoless pages with lots of journaling in the galleries. Some of those pages are really master pieces. I love photoless pages and I want to create pages like that, but I struggle with my journaling. For me the hardest part in a page is the journaling. Often I skip it. I need some practice because I want journaling in my pages. It's an important part of the page.

Thursday morning I had to scrape ice from my car. I was late for work and I was not prepared for that yet. It is only October. I can live with the rain and the wind and the cold although I don't like it, but spare me for the ice.I'm just like the bear, at winter time I just want to hibernate. I don't want to step outside the door before springtime sometime.
Autumn is a fabulous time. When the rain is pouring down, the wind is blowing and it is freezing cold, I can spend time inside doing my stuff without feeling guilty because I am not outside doing all the things that need to be done. Hurray to the autumn!

Friday, the best day of the whole week is here again! I love Fridays!
Two full days off from work. Two full days where I can do what ever I like to do. Well that is not entirely true, but I like to think that it is true.
Friday is also a great day in Digiland when many of the stores release their new stuff. I love to browse through the store to see the new goodies. I don't buy as much as I did before. I have become pretty selective. But usually I always end up buying something. I have my favourite stores and favourite designers. If I wasn't on Jady Day Studio's CT I would certainly buy her new kit "Autumn Fun – At the pumpkin patch". That kit is really awesome. Have a look for yourself.

Another week away from home, I have been away the whole week. I came back Friday evening and didn't feel very well. My throat was sore, a headache was bothering me and I felt really tired. It has been a really hectic week at work and my days have been long. Hope I don't catch a cold or something. I don't have time for that at this point. Do we ever have time for such things? Anyway, I have been eating colostrum pills and Strepsils the whole weekend. I think it might be working, my throat feels better. Maybe I get lucky this time.

This weekend I haven't spent as much time by the computer as I use to, but I have managed to scrap a page. You know, scrapping is therapy for me. That is what most people don't get, people who don't scrap. I need my scrapping time.

I wish the weekends would last longer. So much to do and so little time. The photo session is being postponed to next weekend. Hopefully we get something done then. I would like to get some photos of the whole family. The four of us together. This week I will be away from home the whole week, no time for scrapping before I get back home on Friday. No point in bringing the laptop with me, as I will be working long days in the office. No energy left for scrapping afterwards. I will probably check the forums and galleries, as I can't stay away from the digi community a whole week. This happy page will stay on top of my blog for the next week.

Finally Friday, my favourite day of the week. It sure has been a busy week both at work and at home. I am really looking forward to get some time off. No plans for the weekend. Maybe do some outside photgraphing if the weather allows it. The Autumn colours are really beautiful around here at the moment. On my way to work this morning, 4 deers crossed the road 10 meters away from my car. It is such a beautiful sight (if you don't get a heart attach or something). On Monday a huge deer almost jumped on my car not far from where I saw the other ones today. I almost got a heart attack! It's deer everywhere around here. They use to just come from nowhere and jump into the road right in front of you, it's quite scary. So far I have been lucky, and not hit any of them. I am crossing my fingers that it continues that way. Would hate it if that happened.

Althought I am not done installing, recovering and organizing everything after the harddrive crash, I have been scrapping instead of doing the boring stufff mentioned above.

Litabells Designs & Captivated Visions have re-released their fabulous collab "My happy place". For some unknown reason I didn't have it in my stash, so I was glad to get this opportunity to snag it. This is such a fun kit!

Oh man! What a week!
I have been working away from home the whole week. It turned out to be one of those troublesome weeks at work and of top of that a longlasting headache has been bothering me. I was hoping to catch the Thursday flight back home. But I forgot to book in time, the plane was full so I didn't get back home before Friday afternoon.
When I started my laptop in the evening, I managed to read a couple of e-mails before the damn thing froze and denied to restart. I tried like 10 times. Nothing. My husband did his stuff. He used to fix computers in his spare time. No matter what he tried, it wouldn't respond. The harddrive is totally dead. Again!!! The same thing happened about a year ago. With the same laptop. I was without my laptop for 2 MONTHS and when I finally got it back it didn't even work. We bought a new harddrive and my husband replaced the old one and it worked fine until now. The laptop is only 2 years old, but I have had it. It is now GARBAGE!! I dumped it!
I have been afraid this might would happen again, so I have been looking for a replacement, but couldn't decide which one to buy. This forced me to take a decision and I bought a new laptop just in time before the shop closed on Friday. This weekend I have been busy installing stuff and restoring my backups. My last backup was done about a month ago, so I didn't loose that much. But a month is a month and I hate to loose stuff.

You know, I had to get me a new laptop right away because I couldn't stand being without my laptop and access to the scrap community a whole weekend. That is probably NOT a healthy sign.

Installing and restoring is boring so I had to take a break and scrap something. While I looked through my old albums to find some museum photo's I knew where hiding in there somewhere, I came over this one. It brought back some good memories and I decided to scrap a page about it.

Wow, almost half of September is gone already. I can't believe how fast the weeks simply fly away. I am just grateful that it is Friday again. Usually Friday evening is the time of the week when I spend most time in the scrapping stores, forums and galleries. I don't create anything, just look, comment, get inspiration and spend money on new scrapping stuff which I just NEED to buy! My Friday nights are pretty untouchable.

It's official, Summer is over. September and Autumn is here. Hopefully we'll get some nice and warm days before the Autumn storms show up. Actually I like the Autumn although Summertime is my favourite time of year. During the Autumn I can sit inside the house and scrap or read without feeling guilty because I am not outside doing something. Summer is over, but I have lots of Summer photos to scrap. I scrapped a page using True Blue Studio's new template pack "Perfectly Squared" from the September MAK and LDrag Designs "Cherrylicious" and I really love the result. Even though I wanted to add more stash, I managed to stop in time. I always want to add more stuff.

Finally Friday and I am so ready for it. This week has been very busy and I haven't got us much sleep as I need. During the weekend I plan to do something about it. My body is still adjusted to Summertime with late nights and mornings. I am so not ready for early mornings. Or work for that matters. My superior is quitting her job and I am going to replace her, which means more challenges and responsibility at work. I am fine with that but I guess the following months will become rather busy.

The designers in digiland have also been busy creating gorgeous new goodies to tempt us into buying more stuff. I am so not good with temptations. Wow, three weeks without my laptop and internet access. Actually it was a lot easier than I expected. It was worst the first week and than it slowly slipped my mind while my body got sunburnt in the heat. Pink is a beautiful colour, but not on the skin. I will not recommend it. Crete was warm, sunny and relaxing. Just what I needed. I certainly enjoyed my 2 weeks of vacation on the island. Only one more day off before the rush starts. Just recently Litabells Designs had a CT call. As I have told you before, I love her design. Her call was just too temting so I had to give it a try. I didn't have to high expectations thou because I have had my share of rejections. It was a huge and pleasant surprise when she picked me! I am so happy to announce that I am the proud member of Litabells Designs creative team!

This week Litabells Design re-realised one of her previously collabs. She split out her portion, tweaked it a little and added a bunch extras and created Flutterby - Deux. I loved the collab but I love this revamped version even more.

Last year I discovered the beautiful design of Litabells Design. She soon became one of my favourite designers. Sadly she decided to resign from designing shortly after. I bought almost whole her store before she resigned.

In May when she annonced her comeback, I was thrilled. It was good to have her back! I followed her to her new store The Digi Chick. Spring Blooms was the first kit she released after her break. The kit is fresh, clean and feminine, Spring Blooms is a floral filled kit, perfect for scrapping spring memories. Of course I had to get my hands on it!

Not much of a Summer weather around here. It's raining cats and dogs and the temperature is not much to talk about. With other words it's perfect scrapping weather! I love Fridays, although they tend to be expensive. So many gorgeous kits in the stores just waiting for me to pick them up. I have a hard time deciding what to buy or not. Usually I end up buying new kits every week. I am a kit collector and I am addicted to digiscrapping. It is not the worst addiction and I see nothing wrong with that.

If I wasn't already on Lina's (LDrag Design) team, I would certainly have bought her newest kit "Summer Sherbert". Beautiful soft summery and bright colours combined with lots of greenery and real flower and colored metal ellies!!! The colour combination is beautiful, I just love this kit and the page I created with it! I used one of True Blue Studio's fabulous templates from her Sweet Spring sets.
